Kerem is a warm, ambitious and proudly Jewish school in the heart of Hampstead Garden Suburb, educating children from the age of two through to Year 6. Founded in 1948 and rooted in the values of our founders, we combine academic excellence with a joyful Jewish life, nurturing children who are confident, curious and kind, and who leave us ready to make their mark on the world.
About Us
A School Like No Other
For more than seventy-five years, Kerem has been a home from home for generations of Jewish families in North West London. Our name, meaning vineyard, reflects the hope of our founders that every child would grow and flourish in our care. That vision still shapes everything we do today.
We are a Modern Orthodox Jewish school where Torah and Ivrit sit alongside an enriched, forward-thinking secular curriculum. We are small enough for every child to be truly known, and ambitious enough to help every child achieve far beyond what they thought possible — with outstanding 11+ results year after year and places secured at the leading senior schools in London.
But what makes Kerem special isn’t just what we teach; it’s who we are. Our pupils, staff, families and alumni form a close-knit community bound by shared values, shared traditions and a shared belief that education is about nurturing the whole child: intellectually, spiritually, socially and emotionally.
