Nursery & Pre Prep

A Welcome from the Head of the Pre-Prep

At Kerem Pre-Prep, we inspire children to become joyful, resilient, and reflective learners—proud of who they are, excited by who they can become, and deeply connected to their community.

“Kindness, respect, and integrity aren’t just taught; they shape everything we do, helping each child grow into a confident, compassionate, and curious learner.”

We plant seeds for every child to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. Guided by a Modern Orthodox Jewish ethos, we inspire a love of Torah, a sense of community, and the practice of good middot.  We celebrate humour, value reflectiveness, and place strong emphasis on Derech eretz, helping children grow not only as capable learners but as thoughtful, empathetic individuals.

Whether you are looking for flexible, nurturing Nursery care or to join us at Reception, we warmly invite you to visit Kerem and experience for yourself the energy, joy, and kindness that shine through both our dedicated staff and pupils.

A Rich Jewish Learning Experience

At Kerem, our structured and balanced early years’ curriculum brings Jewish traditions to life. Jewish cultural and religious ethos is embedded throughout our curriculum, connecting all areas of learning at Kerem, ensuring each pupil is stretched and supported, while discovering a deep sense of belonging within a vibrant Jewish community.

With our high teacher-pupil ratios, and specialist teachers in Ivrit, Jewish Studies, Music and P.E, Kerem pupils are always joyfully engaged in a diverse range of stimulating activities, expanding their understanding and knowledge of the world around them.

Children engage with daily prayers, songs, and Torah stories, while developing a love for Israel and Jewish culture. They are introduced to spoken Ivrit and the aleph bet in a fun and engaging way. Our school ethos emphasises respect, caring, and community, and every week is filled with joy as we celebrate the Chagim and eagerly look forward to our Friday Shabbat party.

Space for Every Child to Grow

The routines and resources at Kerem are of the highest standard, designed to nurture and stimulate the growth of every child.

Spacious and thoughtfully designed classrooms are tailored to each stage of early childhood development, complemented by high-quality resources and three beautiful garden and play areas.

Our Forest School is just minutes away in Lyttleton Playing Fields and we have our own vegetable garden and outdoor kitchen on site, nurturing calm, well-being and independence, and cultivating a strong and lasting appreciation of the natural world.

This vibrant and enriching environment fosters a love of learning and exploration, helping all our pupils flourish in their own individual way!
